Kunstmatige intelligentie speelt een steeds belangrijkere rol in ons leven en we leren steeds meer over de kansen die het toepassen van KI biedt. Ook in de groene sectoren liggen er veel kansen om computerkracht in te zetten om efficiënter en duurzamer te gaan werken. In de agrisector, de tuinbouw, de voedingssector en de veehouderij is de toepassing van KI dan ook bezig aan een stevige opmars.<\/p>

Men richt zich bijvoorbeeld steeds meer op het toepassen van KI om de voedselproductie te verhogen, zonder daarbij het milieu te schaden. Waar eerder boeren individueel beslissingen moesten nemen over hun ingrepen, kunnen ze nu door KI hun keuzes baseren op een rijkdom aan gegevens. In de akkerbouw wordt kunstmatige intelligentie ook al veel ingezet. Voor precisielandbouw, gewasmonitoring en gewasanalyses bijvoorbeeld. Hiervoor wordt gebruik gemaakt van technologische innovaties op het gebied van sensoren, radars en GPS.<\/p>
