One or more search terms can be entered in the search field, after which the system will search for results containing those terms. This will offer search results in which these words also occur in succession. This is useful if you are looking for an exact title (or an exact word combination). Searching for "white cabbage" offers all search results about white cabbage. Sources where the word white and the word cabbage are not mentioned in succession will not appear in the search result.

AND (or a space): You can put AND or a space between two search terms, for example 'pig AND food', or 'pig food'. In both cases this means that both words must occur in the source of information.

Please note: if several words are typed in, this will work differently. With three or more words, the sources where all terms occur are displayed first. Then come the 'less relevant results', combinations of some of the terms mentioned.

OR: You can put OR between two search terms, for example 'apples OR pears'. Use OR if you are looking for sources that are about either ofthe terms. Apples or pears, for example.

NOT: You can put NOT between two search terms, for example 'cattle NOT sheep'. Use NOT to exclude sources from the search result. So results about cattle, but without the mention of sheep, for example.

"
